Research Interests:
Measurement of steroid & peptide hormones for endocrine
investigations
Therapeutic drug monitoring by measuring drug concentrations
Study of vitamins in health and disease condition
On-demand bioanalysis service of pharmaceutics for clinical
trials
Routine service:
Measurement of carnitine and acylcarnitines for the detection
of inborn errors of metabolism.
Quantitation of immunosuppressants (cyclosporin A, tacrolimus,
sirolimus, everolimus and mycophenolic acid).
Quantitation of steroids (17-hydroxyprogesterone, androstenedione,
testosterone, dihydrotestosterone, estradiol, cortisol & cortisone)
in serum, urine or saliva.
Therapeutic drug monitoring service (busulfan, imatinib).
Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D2 and D3.
Serum total insulin-like growth factor 1 and 2 quantitation,
and variant detection.
Plasma renin activity and aldosterone concentration.
Comprehensive drug screening by UPLC TOF MS.
MS Instrumentation:
8 units of LC tandem MS (Waters Quattro Micro; Waters TQ Detector;
Waters Xevo TQ; Waters Xevo TQD; Waters Xevo TQS micro; 2 x Waters
Xevo TQS, Waters Xevo TQXS with online SPE).
2 unit of UPLC TOF MS (Waters G2S; Waters G2XS).
